A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

fingertips grazing
across a tabletop covered by
the cooling cups of coffee
we never got to share
tracing the memories
of conversations held
in the silent hours
when hearts can touch
in safety
and i often wonder if our laughs
still nestle inside one another;
lost socks and whiskey cups
and a kiss we’ve yet to have

. . .Gee girl, these are the lyrics for a beautiful song. Throw in a repeating chorus and a hook and the song is done. Then all you have to decide is who is going to sing your song? I vote for Jackie Evancho or maybe Ariana Grande. Hey, it's fun to dream, right
I'm printing this out and tomorrow, in my car I'll be singing your words.

I liked the thoughts in the poetry. I liked the possibilities and the maybe's in the words. Thank you Jennie for sharing the outstanding poetry.
