Routine

Routine

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

when did my kisses become routine?

when did that suffusing warmth

that happens only when

you place your lips on mine

such gorgeous softness that i ache for

when did that become

just

routine?

when did the love i hold

so deeply

for you

it aches in quiet midnight hours

when you are sleeping, and i, awake,

am afraid to move in case it disturbs your rest,

when did that become something

mundane

something that gives you no sense of wonder?

the curves of my form that mould to your palm

are now roads you know too well...

so well memorised, now,

that all my magic is gone

discarded in the everyday minutiae of

the routine

Oh how lovely..
kisses should never become a routine..they bring a soul back wherever it was astray
they bring you back to life..when you were almost dying..it sends you high you could even fly
those lips ,that softness and tenderness should never be a routine
those move through the night ..where they awake or asleep are never a routine..
those places and curves touches softly ,so much warmth should be always new..ha ha

as this became the reasons of my own dissolved engagement.....such a profound message.....one to scream out before we wake alone...well...then write a poem about that too...damn double edge sword

What an emotive, profound write about love's fading life. So many could relate to your questions and your expressions of desire to want love to be what it once was. To always stay electric. Amazing depth in your words.
