this morning.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

i woke
a remnant of a dream
still drifting its memory
across my lips

a kiss undelivered
trembling, fragile and newborn,
held captive upon a mouth
still waiting to be claimed

. . . so simple but still, your words drift lightly across the page - leaving blank spaces to ponder the moment and the feelings.
