You Left an Imprint on My Heart

A poem about someone meaning so much.

Alone and afraid,

you gave me hope.

You have no clue what a warm hand on a cold night can do.

All the little things,

all the songs and all the laughter,

mean the world to me.

You may not have meant anything,

but you left an imprint on my heart.

An imprint only you can fill.

You have brought happiness to my life,

and you may never know.

At least I can call you my friend if nothing else.

The closer we grow,

the deeper I drown.

I can only hope you're sinking too.
