Another bright image... I like the idea of the tree being shown without ever saying the word "tree" outwardly. I can picture the fallen apples and the leaves leaning toward falling as branches go into hibernation. Might suggest a comma after "apples", so there is a pause as the image shifts from the apples to the leaves. Otherwise...great imagery.
