trader joe

trader joe

A Poem by jennifer little

poor old trader joe walked the roads everyday,
for he had no place to go,
he had no home,
no friends,
and no family anymore,
poor old trader joe walked the roads everyday,
this poor old fella sat underneath a tree to relax, and unwind,
for trader joe was as friendly as can be,
he was very talkative,
some people ignored trader joe,
some went and asked if he could use anything,
they'd try to help him as much as they could,
poor old trader joe walked the roads everyday,
no one really knows where he goes to stay,
trader joe always had a small bag with things that he had made to try to sell,
trader joe makes things outta nature,
poor old trader joe walked the roads everyday,
some people had frowned upon trader joe,
they looked at him like he was a leopard,

poor old trader joe walked the roads everyday,
he makes a living,
not much,
very little mabe enough for two meals a day sometimes only one,
he sells and trades his homemade nature items,
not expensive just by donation,
for food or money,

trader joe walked the roads everyday,
then one day a kind young man had came along,
he said," excuse me sir may i come sit upon this tree with you?"
trader joe allowed him to,
they began to talk,
then along came a young lady,
she asked if she can join them,
so they let her,

poor old trader joe now had some new company,
poor old trader joe walks the roads everyday,
he now has two friends to chat with.
they laughed and talked,
poor old trader joe had fallen asleep the guy and girl had disappeared,

"But"
"wait"
There's more,
as poor old trader joe was getting up,
there had been a big yellow envelope,
on the envelope it had said,"
dear old trader joe,
the gal who was by your side was my wife,
were newly married,
i myself was in your situation once before,
i have worked very hard to come as far as i have,
i made a promise ,
a promise to God,
that if he helped me grow strong and wealthy that i'd help someone else out i need one day,
see i've been watching you and seeing what you do take this gift inside and may God bless you,

poor old trader joe opened the envelope,
there was a hotel room key with a note it's paid for as long as you need,
there was also 20,000 dollars inside,
poor old trader joe,
now had a place to go,
he had enough money to get a car, and a house of his own,
there was another note that said," dear odl trader joe you now have a job come to this address and you will have work,
may God bless you forever more,"

poor old trader joe thanked God for the wonderful blessing that has come upon his way

There may well be more generous and loving people in this world than bad ones BUT the could-be called saints don't make headline news because they live their lives gently and humbly because - that is how they are. Tis beautiful and inspiring to learn about the dhar mann videos. Many, many thanks for sharing by way of your fine words, jennifer little. Meantime, if each of us did one favour a day - even by smiling and saying 'hello/hi', the world would be a better place. It only means putting down a mobile phone or raising the head to look about you for a minute, tis nothing in a lifetime.

This is a good write
Unfortunately, there are too too many Trader Joes pushing all their possessions around in a shopping cart, most of whom would have no idea what to do with $20,000 but it would be nice to see it all happen

Wow, I would love to find that kind of money,
This is a wonderful write here,
I wish there weren't homeless people in this world. I once bought a man meal from Mcdonalds and took it to him and he scuffed it down, it made me so sad to see that man that hungry.
P.S. I love watching dhar mann video's myself.

Beautifully expressed, lovely story, if only there was real kindness in the world. At times you just don't know what to do for all the homeless people in this life.

The kindness of strangers... Kindness is a commodity in short supply these days. Long ago, a Drifter, a man with little for himself, still found enough coins to give me for a bag of beans to feed the family. This resonates so strongly with me. A beautiful poem with a fairy tale ending.
