ships set sail

ships set sail

A Poem by jennifer little

as the ships set sail,
people begin to come and watch them as they set sail,
deeply departed into thy seas,

the captains give orders to raise thy sails,
sailing thy seas,
some ships shall not return,
for the dreadful seas shall rise,

swiftly, and so calmly,
waves begin to grown,
desires to endure the afternoon winds,
as the mist begins to roar,
the cold breeze begins to come within,

the captain of strong faith,
bound and determined to get to where they are needed,
safely and sound,
may you travel the deep seas safety
