...the need for someone, being open and wanting them to be

Am I wrong to feel this, so deep..so soon**
Will you please just tell me, you want me too**
Is there something wrong with me, are you afraid to say**
I thought you had feelings for me, but its different today**
I normally push those, who want me away**
But for some reason I want you more each day**
Can you explain to me, will you open up**
Do you feel the same for me, or should I give up**
I'm so sorry baby, please tell me today**
Please don't let my words push you away**
Do you feel this all, moved way too fast**
When we met, you were still attached to the past**
Have I lost the chance to be with you**
Or do you feel what we have, can be true**
You see my heart opened, saw you and held on tight**
I can't explain, if its wrong or its right**
All I know is you are one of a kind**
Its in my heart, my soul deep in my mind**
Please be honest, open, be truthful to me**
Do we have a chance, or should I leave you be**

you know, the older i get the more i notice that people my age are reluctant to become involved with another. for some it is out of fear of repeating the same dumb mistakes, others were badly bruised by love and terrified to let go, and still others were badly mistreated and just can't embrace another risk...now, that being said, it is my belief that when you meet someone and hit it off well and then that person becomes distant and detached ....there is another player you don't know about. this write is honest and displays genuine feelings with which i am familiar, making it identifiable and deeply resonant. well penned and very real.
