Sky Life

Sky Life

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

A neon life, it's bright and beautiful,

Like the place in the sunset, where day bleeds into night

Perched high up, high up in the clouds,

Thousands of tiny eyes watch over us,

They sent me, they sent me to tell you,

Up there rests your forgotten memories,

Your sun-kissed lovers lost and missed,

All of your rights and wrongs, histories and misdeeds,

All the ones who loved, love, and will love you,

Dead or alive, that's where they are

And no one knows but me,

How these tiny eyes, lenses you look through,

They spin the world

Where did you think faded memories were sent to rest?

They float upwards to push the clouds and look down upon you

They see you grow, pray that you don't make the same mistake twice,

In the strips of color in the sunsets,

Are the corners of the minds of all who love you

Where did you think they settled?

Stored away somewhere dusty and unpleasent?

No, no the sky is so big, it can hold anything,

And all the important things dwell there.

The sky is where love goes, so just reach up.
