Feel

Feel

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Feet first. Always.

It takes a lot to never dare.

To never try.

If you don't give, nothing takes.

You eat your emotions for breakfast.

So why do you look down on me?

Is it because I fell in love?

You were too safe to feel.

To scared to move.

I, though, took one look.

And lost control.

Too much, too young, too fast.

You wouldn't jump with me.

But here I am.

Scarred, but smiling.

I like to feel things bigger than myself.

You can't marry indiference.

Really well thought out ink! This makes us take a long look at the conflict between action and inaction when it comes to social dynamics. Very relatable as everyone has met people that sit back and exist, rather than live. At the same time have sat back themselves while others of jumped.

The last stanza really is the winner, for it teaches us that it's ok to take risks and get hurt. The lessons of life come fruitful to those who do, rather than those who sit on the sidelines.

Wonderful piece of poetry!
