Another half hour and I'll be inside again

Another half hour and I'll be inside again

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

I'm looking around my living room, and I still don't know a thing
Outside, the snow, melted by rain, even it looks confused
The clock is round and wooden and it measures all our days
Who put us here?

I hurt myself, I cling to fragile objects
I'm hurt by the wind and by blankness, by nothing
Let me leave, I'll swim in places that people don't go
God doesn't make the rules, now

Love is not for everyone
Maybe I'm not lucky, if luck is real
Or maybe I'm not patient
I've got other things to offer, though

I wish I was not a girl, but a bird
They've got little to think of
And they fly to warm places
Maybe simple is best
