how some shoes just don't get the mileage they wish for

My shoes are feeling down

cause my toes ain't around

heels say 'tennis shoes,

hey I got the tootsie blues

Who wants to off them

tennis shoes

turn them laces dim

Take their insoles please

get them beat up by sleaze

hogging all the closet room

Yes, even as a male, I understand how hard this can be. I long to wear my trainers again, but am stuck in the hellish nightmare that is winter in Scotland, which resembles a Tim Butonesque scene of what his mind would think of as Siberia.
I hope you get to wear them again soon. :)

I don't really...well...the heels look great but they call me grace for a reason, and it isn't because I am graceful. Sooo. The heels get jealous of the tennies. like lol, lmao! tee hee hee

Shh, you'll be giving Pixar ideas for a new animated movie called the shoe cupboard. Your tennis will be the star of the show, like Cinderella. They have to put up with the snobbery of all those lush heels, but they will struggle and rise to be the hero of the day, helping you to catch the bad guys in the process. I don't know what the bad guys role in this scenario is, international shoe thieves maybe, but cartoon you so gets the better of them, in a hilarious, home alone kinda way.
Hmm, I have given this way too much thought, haven't I? Okay, I'll stop, but I already dislike Simone stiletto :)

tennis shoes get worn out, high heels not used so much.

it could be likened to the normal woman getting advances, finding many friend relationships fairly easily because she is a comfortable fit....but the high society woman, or one who thinks of herself heels above the others, may be too distant...and for men, it would be like trying to tackle mount kilimanjaro ....and so they are shied away from...

interesting metaphor so well done...you carry it through nicely.

Well as beautiful as the slim stems of a lady may look in high heels, it is not good for women, but it looks so good, men keep making them and suggesting you were.

You can have blues with many shoes as they do not fit right or fit so well, but are at the end of life.

Fun piece I like a great deal.

Thank you Willard, and you know it is so true about those high heels, I look a bit of an awkward duck though, because as I told acoustic I think...I am slightly less then graceful.

Plus I can't wear them anymore with my RSD anyway...it's kind of like the foot police of nerve disease...hee hee.

Well my love never has I and I expect never will wear high heels, but she loves shoes. While I know the look with her wearing them would make my heart flutter just a bit, I prefer her grounded and safe.

As for awkward, the best is to just stand and look gorgeous.
