Forbidden Love

this poem is inspired by a man that i've known for years that my parents don't approve of. We have fallen in love and as of now remain that way.

I sit and stare,

my mind wonders off.

It takes me back to when life was easy;

and i never had to worry about getting caught.

 

Forbidden love

 

We sneak around,

behind everyones back.

Trying to keep our stories straight;

in case anyone asks.

No one can know,

No one can see,

but this man;

he means everything to me.

Truth be known,

my heart isn't easily one;

But this man...

that is exactly what he has done.
