Poem about emotional abuse

She held her breath, she told the blow. she faked a smile, didn't let it show. she gave her all, she failed again.Always hopeing, for what could've been. She complained once, got hit twice .. She says shes fine, we believe it to but Behind her happy smile, lays her tattered heart, behind her laughter shes falling apart. She gives her all, praying not to fail. But they lied again, as the pain creeps in .Her only hope, is the prospect that someone might hear her soul screaming for help, She asks God why he overlooked that speacal commandment that he should've made so clear, Honor thy children. She hopes and prays everyday, she'll read the commandments and they had changed, she asks why, shes not important enough to smile for real but aprently that was't part of anyones deal. Don't look past her smile, or her laughter. Shes afraid of happines, cause pain shall soon come after.
