Golden

Golden

"

remember the golden rule?

"

Why should I treat people the way I want to be treated?

It’s not like they’ll treat me right anyway.

Give and give until there’s nothing left.

Live and live until you’re wishing for death

Treat him right and he treats you wrong

Like searching for lyrics when you can’t find the song

That’s the way it is

There is no hope

No exception

Just screwed up people filled with lies and deception

It will never change

Never get better

Like writing a repetitive letter

You say its pessimism

I say its realism

Realize this pessimism is here to stay

Or watch your heart waste away

There is no use

No point

Treat people the way they deserve to be treated

Or you’ll end up alone

On the floor

Crying

Feeling like you’re dying

This is the new golden rule

Fit for a world that is entirely too cruel
