Presence

Presence

A Poem by JJ Escobar

It is different as Time begins to slow down
All the hurry must have been of no use before
Knowledge has brought a mind to be sound
Will the waste of time in my past be restored?

Present. I am asked to experience Truth
There are days where I ask, “Where has the zeal gone?”
Hopeful. I have fought the desire to be aloof
Faith has shown to have an unbreakable bond

As I come out from the depths of the forest
The seasons of change whisper of new adventures
The pace becomes one of a present day, so I rest
In the daylight I cling to my most precious treasure

When the minds of men question my reverence
I will always be reminded of your omnipresence

Faith can be such a shocking thing to have especially with all the commotion in the world right now. When everything is falling apart, when everything has been said and done, having faith and hope feels like a sweet rewarding rebellion. I loved this!
