carte blanche

carte blanche

A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

09/2013

"
shadows give way to the light
that precedes only in drowning
here I am found and pushed
to the forefront of war

given the torch, the way is shown

the straight and narrow that flickers
among the carrion strewn highways

through the pits of the wicked I am driven

ejected out of this cadaverous vehicle
into a divine collision with the celestial

a appointment to which I am bound

the sickness is deeper than you'll
ever know or even imagine

I always find it so hard to review your writing because it is so good, theres so much imagery and I'm always left pulling every line apart to get to the meaning and yet it doesnt feel unfinished. In short, you are a very talented writer.

Thanks for sharing!

Your poetry is highly emotive and consistently thought provoking. We all have responsibilities....fate deals some pretty lousy hands. Well written. lydi**

You are welcome :)
I took this a different direction... a person driven to do what his mind and emotions say is right... and admitting to himself he WANTS to do it their way but he just can't. Anyway - was my take.

Your poem with this song was just amazing. You have amazing talent and I look forward to reading more of your work... Was the song your inspiration, or did you find it after you wrote it?
