not even you

not even you

A Poem by joshua deathdealer

I had to look deep inside
but you found me

your faint memory gathered
like mist after a heavy rain

oh the magic that was us

you seen beauty
where I only saw skin
stretched over skeletons

I saw the rifts that your heart
hid behind endless blue

I want to go home

I could care less

no one takes me seriously

not even you

at least you stayed

Sometimes I feel lost too and in those moments I know I have people that would be there for me. You are one of those people. I enjoyed reading this poem. It had a great message. I always feel great reading your poetry even if it is dark. Thank you for sharing my dear brother.

Even when you're lost, you shall always find the way back home my dear. And even if it's hard to find, there is always another who will help, and be there for you.
I love the raw contrast you paint here, with your words, it's unique and very Joshua's way only! fantastic... there is something always to gasp for air, when I read your work... as if you took the words out of my lungs, as air, and then blow it back... Amazing work...

I really felt the wistful longing in this piece. The want for that connection with another soul that comforts even when they are just memories.

"I saw the rifts that your heart
hid behind endless blue"

I love poems that have the courage to speak the truth of our emotions.
This was a very good first impression. :)
