A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

"
yes I still see the world
through mascara tipped eyes
I still sit silently on the ground
          and contemplate the small things
I still hold firm to epic ideas
such as true love and world peace
I am still a hopeless romantic
forever stuck in this fairy tale
anime still burns my television screen
skinny jeans and etnies still fill my closet
          Even though the majority
of today's youth has taken our lead
I still don't follow the crowd
silently cutting my own trail
           I still gender bend
           call me what you will
f****t, sissy, freak
I will still stop to smell the flowers
I will still jump on my trampoline
           in the pouring rain <3 <3 <3

Jump on that trapoline, Joshua. The rain will not dampen spirit such as yours. It's not easy being different, but if you are true to yourself, you will always have inner peace. Lots of empowerment in this introspective write. Just one question...what are "etnies"? I have no clue. Well written. Lydi**

true to ones individual identity - it is not easy making your own path nor not following the queues of the crowd. It takes a lot of strength.
Well written my friend!

a self worth never on shelved, but open for suggestion with a strong stable bind, which holds the pages of one's story, crafted without plots or boundaries just freed verses between the lines ...great piece

insightful. thank you.
Sweet Joshua, you are a beautiful person inside and out! and you should never change.... I feel honored to call you a friend, ;) nothing else than a beautiful friend, and a friend that's himself, totally, who is not afraid to be, and always, but always, makes me smile :) one who makes music, with whole his heart, one who writes poetry with whole his heart, and who lives the max, (I adore). Thanks for being you, just never change ok? :D

I like how this poem confirms the transformation I saw on your profile.
Total despair fading as light glimmers on the horizon. Now we see acceptance and affirmation of your heart.
You only have the person you are to day to love. Tomorrow may change or it may not, but still, we can choose to live what joy and happiness is availed or even only dreamed of in the now.
I love how you gently accept your own heart here.
