I can see the unmerciful longings written across your face

as you walk the lengthy distance between you and me
fireworks explodes, adding to the anticipation that hangs
sparklers twirl, complementing your approaching presence 
this love is more than we could have ever been prepared for
these months apart have been so hard on our enduring love
always full of uncertain emotions and stealthy predators
I fight like a superhero while you sleep just to keep you safe
it is times like these that weigh so heavily on our hearts
worries have drilled their way into our once carefree lives
I may find another lover..that you are too old for me..

that I am too young for you..I may grow weary of waiting..
separation always brings forth these warranted questions
normal concerns and anguishes of our momentarily divide   
the long nights alone are slowly eating at us both and

we are never complete unless in each others arms

reaching you, I pull you close to me
quickly embrace me, daylight is coming
kill your fears my dearest, most beloved
let me kiss your lips and caress your hair
permit me to show you the authenticity
of a love that will outlast lifetimes

Its hard to find good poetry on this sub-genre of romance, It tends to be a bit cliche or bubblegum, but time and again you have proven that you can execute it with the surge of passion and pathos that is necessary to execute it well. That is a skill worth hanging onto.
