As All on Kite

As All on Kite

A Poem by joshua sky

Welcome the open folly

Within the jungles of the serene,

Where the concentric rings

Of the trees cannot be seen…

Behold the child standing

In a schoolhouse corner.

His face, remote, is stained with tears.

Angrily seeking the answer to the question

“Why am I here?”

The handprint on the glass"

It belongs to me,

The whirlwind potential of

Young ambition,

The arid aftermath of destiny…

Blast the pines,

Turn them into boxes"

Shield the Faberge’s from

The power hungry foxes.

I’m indifferent to my muse"

And I’ll have you know my work is hard,

I’ll have you know this is my

Strain, rain, pain, gain, crane, train,

Brain, blame, flame…flame…flame.

A amazing use of words and thoughts. Each set of lines create visions and thoughts. Life is not fair. We lock our kids up and teach in closed buildings. Kids would be content to learn in the forest or outdoors. We separate trees from cities. Keep building more houses. The poem make the reader think and ponder. The goal of the writer. You did. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
