Untitled Numero Uno

Untitled Numero Uno

A Poem by joshua sky

Are you going to climb my face?

Is it your desire to pervert disgrace?

Has the time come for now to find a

Happy displace?

In Space?

Where’s my girl with the long dark hair?

Why is it I wonder?  Do I really care?

For the neon sign across her chest

Says Beware…

To spare.

Your sweet aroma fills the room.

Even though you just came in

From riding your broom,

Your tapestry’s waiting on Arachne’s loom

Tourist boom.

My love is as strong as a pine.

Your love is loose--ultimately that’s fine.

For still I’ll wander the landscapes

Of my mind…

And dine.

I'm curious with the title "Untitled Numero Uno"

So this is tribute to dear one. Nice structure.

Well, it's funny about the title--I couldn't think of one at the time so I figured I'd just have fun.. read more

This is good the way you entwined life, love and the earth all together. The last stanza is the one that sums it all up

I enjoyed the field trip in the poem. Memories are like hidden landscapes we bring out when needed.
"Where’s my girl with the long dark hair?
Why is it I wonder? Do I really care?"
Old thoughts and memories are needed in old age. Good to know we danced and loved once. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
