Do you recognize me?

Do you recognize me?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

A shock to see,
moonlight passing through adds to the feeling.

Features so close,
  almost a mirror.

Bit of puzzlement shared by both.

Locking stares,
  chill in the air.

I've seen the old pictures,
  heard the stories,
so I can take a guess who you were.

Days long gone by.

Still,
with a question in your eye,
      as you slowly vanish.

I can only wonder.

Do you recognize me?

i've had a visitor...once.

a young girl, wearing a school uniform...she stood by my bed then backed down the hallway very slowly...all took around 30 seconds..she seemed so troubled...wish i could have asked her what was wrong.

a bit of a chill reading this.
