Dancing days are over

Dancing days are over

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Time to admit reality

"
People see me pause.
They see me wince.
I normally just move on like nothing happened.

Truth is, I can barely use my hands.
Knees barely carry me through the day.

Willpower is the only thing that keeps me going..

Dancing days are over.

'Dancing days are over'
Jon Roggie,
I like to think of you as a person with many experiences. I see by this expression that life is different for you now an I feel like it takes pure will to focus your life force. Your honest and forthright words are important because your have a way of sharing a part of what goes on for you to others. I like to understand others situation if I can. Thanks for this.

Your last lines are like little gems. You seem to handle the trials you have with dignity and an amazing resolve to live your life and keep a chin up. I admire you for that. I've gotta stop reading you for now. Will return. Thanks.

I really like this one a lot!!! This reminds me so much of how I feel sometimes with my autoimmune arthritis. I haven't really written about it yet or how it makes me feel. I fear it could be an emotional experience.
(note: one typo - "knees barely carry ME...)

Truth is power.

As a dancer I dread this day. But this was beautiful.
