In China, Shanghai is also called Shen. Why is this? It’s because Shanghai was once, one of the fiefdoms of Chunshen Jun (Huang2 Xie1) who  lived in the Spring and Autumn Period of 770B.C.�"476B.C.

Chunshen Jun was a famous person in China’s history. There are a lot of stories about him. I would like to share all the/these stories about him which I know.

Here is the first one: One of his mistresses was pregnant and the Emperor of Chu at that time didn’t have any children. So, Chunshen Jun gave this woman to the emperor.
