NOT AGAIN

She was lonely, her mind was blank that day

When suddenly she heard someone said "hey!"

She looked back and it's cloudy

But no one is out there, she thought it wasn't funny...

 

Then she searched and asked herself

And all along she knew it was just her

Waking herself back to reality

As she came to realize that it wasn't really meant to be

 

So she travelled alone and found her way back

Standing on her own without fear and keeping track

She was already fine and even if the day is slowly fading

But then again, another one is coming

 

She asked herself, "what could it be"

"Will this be another slap on the face, please spare me"

But as days pass by she is feeling light, never told anyone what's inside

To her it's simple happiness that she needs to hide...

 

Uncertain as she no longer wants to feel the pain

Uncertain as she no longer wants to feel used

Uncertain as she no longer wants to be called an "option"

To hide and be quiet, she needed to stop this emotion

 

And lo! The truth came out.. she was glad she took things slow

But deep inside it stings a little as something began to grow

And she thought.. Just when she's prepared, just when she's ready again

But history can't repeat itself this time... No not again...
