All the songs and poems

Are all the songs and poems written
Are there any more to write
I look out the dusty train window
The houses rush by
The fields and horses
and clouds
In blue sky
And stars and moon
On country hills horizons
Wait patiently on nigh
I close my eyes
And wish my one song my poem
I’ll one day write
No
Not to make me famous
Or to be so great
But so that my near and dearest
Will read
And see me clear
Like turning on a simple light

I really like how relatable this poem is on more than one level, I like the questioning of how has everything that is worth saying had possibly been said and at the same time trying to find the words that uniquely convey your thoughts and emotions..I mean after all everyone wishes to be understood, great work.

I think that's a nice thought at the end. I know I would like to leave a body of work that family or friends would be proud to read and come to understand like an epiphany. It's a good dream. I also contemplate the first two lines of your poem. I feel like a thief sometimes even though it's not true. But we keep writing though. All in all this was a lovely poem and I'm glad that I stopped by. CD
