A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
"

A dream a visit from loved ones passed

"
I dreamt you
I felt you
I heard you
I touched you
I laughed and cried with you
The emotions real
It was you
The three of you
All smiles
Together
Came to visit me
Your daughter ,best friend and sister
I awoke calm at peace happy
The dream not a dream
Real
You all visited me in a dream
Or could it be ...........
I left my bed
And sought you three out
It doesn’t matter which or how or why
I was happy it happened
And await our next visit

This is a beautiful straightforward way to show the way our missing loved ones, whether absent or deceased, are always hovering in spirit, such that we can summon them or they can summon us with astonishing realness. I believe there are layers we do not understand, where there's much more sensory activity going on, than what we are aware of, taken together it could be the spirit that connects us. I love how authentic it is in your poem where you are showing the sensations of being incredulous (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

It's like you say.
It doesn't matter if they came to you, or you went to them.
In that instance, you're all together.
That's all that matters.

This beautiful visitation was most certainly real my friend. The first seven lines are so poignant, celebratory, real and ethereal all at the same time. The three powerful women came through the veil to visit and bless the fourth one... “The dream not a dream”- lyrical, eloquent, wondrous...”there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of...” Your deeply moving words are testament enough.
