When you are all alone

And feeling down

You need someone

To change your frown

She’ll make you laugh

When you want to cry

You’ll have to tell her the truth

Because she’ll know if you lie

You can count on her

And she can count on you

When she says, “I promise…”

You know that it’s true

She is there by your side

No matter what you do

Your sister’s more than just your family

She your friend through and through

I can so relate to this. My older sister, (by just 18 months,) and I remain firm friends and nothing will ever break the tie. I wrote a similar poem some time ago about it, and it's a lovely re-affirmation to read of the bond that exists between the two of you.
