A breath

A breath

A Poem by fatigued woman

A breath

breathe in.

today can’t change us as much as tomorrow will.

you’ll be safe if you think of the birds and not the worms.

remember you’re living in other people’s worlds too.

how do you find the pinnacle if everything is convex.

keep the weight forward or else you’ll fall back.

collect the cameras rather than the photos.

chew one more bite than you usually do.

they shine because they reflect the most light.

willows crossing in the breeze is nature holding hands.

problems in math are a good thing.

honey is good for the throat but not good for the blood.

potted plants are alive but forever trapped.

cotton candy lies to you about its size like everything and everyone else.

i wonder why the scar is still there when i pick at it every night.

it’s rather unfortunate that i’m only sometimes allergic to grass because i never know.

pink was always my favorite color don’t listen to what my parents say.

hahaha remember when i told my dad that if my dad found him he’d kill him because i forgot his face

i was one years old when that happened

we forget faces and names and the touch of skin but

i forget it all

what if i really forget it all and nothing is left

if i’m not there to perceive who will be

what happens to all my feelings which i know for a fact exist

where do they go and will they be caressed with care

i want them to be caressed with care

i want them to stay

breathe out.

yesterday’s floating session was better.
