What i see

Self-reflection

   It seems I have low self-esteem

and at times appear mean

 

   Its hard for me to self reflect

makes wise of things filled with regret

 

   I would like to believe that

within lies  an abundance of strength

 

Down somewhere

 

   Compliments have been plenty

its just reassuring my own doubt

 

   Once so angry inside

has become calm and at peace

 

    There are moments....

that the chaos excapes

 

   These walls potray confindence

 inside believes its a lie

 

   Seeking attention to restore

   always ending up a little lower

 

    seeing my reflection

and beginning to like what i see

how shocking to see someone put into words some of the very thoughts I've had in my head for years.... I hope we both gain and retain the strength we need to believe in ourselves... I really enjoyed this piece :)
