wild horses

wild horses

A Poem by Kallie Quist

dark satin skin moving against mine,

thin,

pale,

thighs trembling

night time stallion pounds on doors in my bed sheets

if i’m numb, lead me to salvation

velvet kisses against collarbones

can’t help the screams in exultation,

ivy intertwining legs, and bodies

erratically feeling love

holding on to strong shoulders, give me guidance

make me feel something new

make me feel alive and breathing in warm air,

fill my lungs, i'm gasping

fill every part of me, i'm empty

fill each corner of my bed too long and narrow for love

the night too short to mean anything

in the morning i won’t love you.

give me this street lamplit dim room

and i can do wonders

a technicolor fantasy in total dark

in the morning you’re just a body

and i have messy hair

and you don’t give me butterflies

and i want my bed to myself

Real life poetry.
"in the morning you’re just a body

and you don’t give me butterflies
and i want my bed to myself "
In the morning"
I liked and understand the above statement. Thank you Kallie for sharing the excellent poetry.

Although poetry isn't my forte, so I can't really comment on the structure, I really dig the vibe of this overall, it has a very sensual dark fell that really responds to me. Good stuff!
