This makes a lot of sense given the symbolism of the lotus flower as a representation of eternal peace and life. Maybe I have that symbolism wrong or I am looking into things too deeply? On a surface level as the Haiku is meant to be, this is a very beautiful poem which stresses the infinity of the bond between flower and sun. It was a pleasure to read this poem!
