Thoughts

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

We look back to our childhood years the comfort of old friends For all must see, forever we fear how this life must end

"

From time to time I wonder thoughts

that dream of what might be

I wander glade, stroll promenade

make sense of all I see

____________________________

Valleys, rivers, majestic woods

of these, playgrounds are made

Where my clan, played kick the can

and man was measured, weighed

____________________________

We look back to our childhood years

the comfort of old friends

For most must see, forever we

fear how this life must end

__________________________

That promise of a wondrous place

where we forever play

Bestows the thought, it may be bought

through faith if we don't stray

______________________________

What awaits us there, up above

that we do not have here

Life's greatest strength, comes not from length

but springs of love not fear

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
I say what matters in this life? Could it be we learn kindness is it's own reward? I will talk to God when and if I see him. But friends don't need help in Heaven. They need help on Earth. So I shall do the best I can with the resources allotted to me. May all your wishes come true.

Love- Indifference- Hate, of the three, Indifference is the worst , it has no weight, no side to sit on , energy none, just illusion .Then there is Tate, He has whittled away at himself, done what we are scared to do .He knows what he means and means what he knows. We survive, endure this Devils world, and Tate he gives us hooks to hang our thoughts on.

Beautiful poem
Hi Tate hope you are well and happy
I believe in karma and also
What we do and think in this life is what will be our eternal life
I believe we will immediately be greeted by our beloved loved ones to lead us to our God or a better place as so many quote it
I don’t fear the going there as much as the sadness of leaving this world behind family sun moon stars ocean etc nature
The feel of the sun etc but who knows we may feel these things and more in a complete sense in that place or time who knows
Ps thanks for your beautiful thought provoking poem

Maybe perhaps all our fears are delusions, an effect of being trapped within the limits of the physical realm. Perhaps we allow ourselves to be so strongly effected by these delusions because we don't see the bigger picture. Maybe it's all God expressing himself as the universe? We can never know with our finite minds here in the infinite. But I like to think that perhaps it's the best moments of our life that we feel God's love without realizing it. We often don't realize it because we are so often taught that you can only experience God in a church or a temple and that gives us a slanted view. An excellent poem, Tate, sincerely.

This is such a beautifully thought out sentiment, yes kindness in our hearts whilst we're still alive and kicking, thought provoking and brings a smile to the heart.

Your welcome
Good words both in your poem and your note. I liked the words and the way they flow when I read them. I did so silently at first and then read them out loud. I must say as I spoke them the flow seemed to go so easily as if maybe in another life I too had said them. Strange.

Good write and good read.

Wow! Glad you have such very informative note above.
This poem is great, Tate. I like the format and rhyming scheme you used.
It's really true that man's strength comes from love.
A wonderful piece once again.
