Perfect choice of theme, great use of the little kigo, just cure a little more the metrica, seriously, that's the only thing missing for a PERFECT haiku !!

I feel like this could be a precursor to the poem with the boy and his bread making flashback. You show the power of the moon in its natural elements behind another natural fixture. Very organic and enlightening, my friend.
