The Last Outlaw

The Last Outlaw

A Poem by kaotikal

Never knew what I had til it was gone
I hid in your graveyard
Tracing your name on your tombstone
drinking down a bottle of tears.
It's so hard being alone
the reality of my fears.

Don't know what to do.
Lord knows, I try to make it through
these cold and lonely nights.

I drive so far, but the damage is done.

I sat on white sands watching the tide roll in
Hoping the ocean could wash away my sins
Everyday...
every night...
I pray for rain
So no one can see my pain.

I can't stand it anymore.
What I feel...
What I know...
Is so hard to show.

Can't understand the seasons
time taking away my reason
lost so many battles but not the war
Don't know where I'm going
Just need some peace of mind,
but it's so hard to find

Too tired of running
All I know and all I knew is gone
Nothing stays the same
the damage is done...
the only thing left now
is an outlaw and his gun
