Springtime

Springtime

A Poem by Kelli Anderson

SPRINGTIME
Open your eyes to the beauty of Spring.
Hear the ping, ping of the raindrops on the water.
Listen to the birds chirping in the highest treetops.
Look at the rabbits hopping along.
Listen to the children laughing on the playgrounds.                      Listen to the people rushing about as they shop.
Look at the robin as she scampers across the ground.
Hear the sound of the animals as they gather food.
Look at the red roses shimmering in the sun light.
Look at the setting of the sun at evening.
Look at the dandy daffodils dancing in the wind.
Look at the bees a buzzing around the hives.
Spring is here at last.
