The Setting Sun

The Setting Sun

A Poem by Kelli Anderson

THE SETTING SUN

You walk along the beach,
hearing the waves on the shore.
The seashells are the only thing left,
when the water washes back out.
You stand looking out to sea.
  The sun is setting.
What a sight to see.
  You're captured in it's beauty.
But within a short time it's gone,
  from our sights.
But the memory is always there.
They come back from time to time,
  for us to see.
They can be seen alone or with
  someone special.
