A Few Heart Felt Words?

A Few Heart Felt Words?

A Poem by Marisa Kathleen Lopez
"

Sometimes thats not what she really wants to hear.

"

A few heart felt words?

So maybe a few            heart felt words

Are not just the sort    of things she wants

To hear from you right now, but really?

Did you really mean them? Or were

You just messing around with her

Like all the other men in this

Whole wide world we

Like to call earth?

You really do

Suck

I like making shapes or pictures when writing, but its hard to do so with the length of certain words. I tried my best and would like to know what you think of it? the concept and how its brought out along with word choices and maybe tips?

Excellent use of the heart shape (nice coinciding with the theme of the poem as well!) that lends a certain majestic splendor to the words of the free-verse poem. The irony of it all is to me, the shape of the heart and the idea of "heart-felt words" contrasts so sharply with the dismay n' disgust felt by the author in reaction to the other's "heart felt words". How did such a young author develop such a profound sense of being jaded by the men of this world so early and quickly?

You did a great job with the shape. I also really enjoyed the flow of your poem, and enjoyed the word chose.
