Final Piece

Final Piece

A Poem by Katie

If the mess of me
no longer existed,
and the clothes on my floor
were in place,
if my mind weren't scattered,
and my thoughts made sense,
would that bring a smile to your face?
If i ate a little better,
if I minded what I wore,
if I put on a little makeup,
would you love me a little more?
I'm beginning to ask these questions
if I did what you all ask,
would I still be Katie,
or just another girl in a mask?
And if I weren't myself,
would anybody care?
Would anybody miss me?
Would you know I was't there?
Does anybody love me?
No on likes me for me,
they see me as a rough draft,
but I'm the final piece.
