Maturity

Maturity

A Poem by k. brown

Maturity

thirteen and cracking,
arms growing out of him
like the wandering jew:

my cousin—
once a chubby baby
(and so silly, too;)
has a conversation with me
about his dead brother

Beautiful free verse, and very touching as well.
