DEAR DESTINY

DEAR DESTINY

A Poem by THE DAY DREAMER

EDIT

DEAR DESTINY

Dear destiny,
I have wings, i can fly;
I have dreams, they’re caged inside.

Dear destiny,
I have roads to walk and hills to climb;
I have wars to fight,for I’m yet to find the true
meaning of this life.

Dear destiny,
i smile in the age of worry,
i let her pass me by;
i shall face her like the rain, on a dark
sleepless night.

Oh dear destiny, take my hand;
and  together we  shall walk
these roads till they end;
and i shall share your laughs and tears,
for my love for you,is profound and entrenched.

Let us frame these memories for us to remember;
 till the time they die and shatter,
Let us cherish these moments, for they won’t last forever;
they will fade, they will soon disappear.

Oh dear destiny, look into my eyes;
a jar of tears,  you will find,
draw your ears nearer,  and you shall hear;
you’ll hear my deep silent cries,
and you’ll watch me fear life.

Dear destiny,
a new hope is born as the day begins;
and I shall cease the day,
while the the sky is still wide open,
and the sun still shines;
for a wise man once said to me,
time does not wait, it flies.
