Beautiful Illusion

Beautiful Illusion

A Poem by krystle
"

Inspired by a man I was once in awe with

"
I didn't understand
how such a beautiful human being
that everyone loves,
could have so much sadness

But I see it
when he plays a song on his six strings

That his empty voids,
are filled with meaningless kisses
and his nights
are lonely and long

Amazing use of words and thoughts. I like the complete poem. A life with empty void and fake kisses lead to lonely ending. A strong ending to the outstanding poetry.

My Father used to sing sad songs and play the six strings.

Sometimes a smile is a masked cry for help. Such a deep and beautiful poem.

Painful to see such a being floundering amidst so much opportunity, we never know what truly goes on behind those sad eyes....

a fine exploration of the dilema of talent, combined with a personal note ..like this.

It seems the truly gifted are often the most tormented souls. And, we who revel in their brilliance are too easily blinded to the sadness in their eyes. You're lines captured this sad failing in all of us "fans."

Think about Robin Williams -- simply the funniest man who ever lived and a brilliant entertainer giving all he had to lighten our sorrows; all a mere fraction of the tremendous human being he was. But, while he often had a mischievous twinkle or a madly humorous glint in his eyes, his smile, the laughter he gave never touched his eyes.

Quiet impressive. It`s seemed, you`ve spent some of the moments of your nights with a gentle man because, that`s why your muse has praised the kindness of his pleasure or else, you`d have struck on his heart. Your emotions`ve flattered the world.
