We rise above you

We rise above you

A Poem by Kaylee Marlin

We Rise Above You

We all rise,

From the ground,

Leaving behind your cries,

Until there's no sound.

Forgeting the pain,

You left in our hearts,

Your words feel like rain,

Instead of piercing our skin like darts.

We're gliding through the sky,

As you sink to the ocean floor,

We've finally been able to say bye,

As you knock on the devils door.

We left you this time,

We finally got away from you,

You act like what we did was a crime,

But it was the right thing for us to do.

I don't talk very much. I am a quiet person when I'm around people I don't know or don't like. There's very few people I feel comfortable talking to. I don't like my dad at all. My mom and I are on un.. more..
