Obsession's End

Obsession's End

A Poem by PenManShep
"

A poem I wrote about things I obsess over.

"

The desire burns.

Can’t get my mind straight.

The wheels start to turn.

Trying hard to wait.

The obsession builds.

Meaningless meaning

Gazing at the dark.

My mind is gleaning

An unneeded spark.

Wasting time and mind.

Steel that once brought fear

Heavy on shoulder.

Itching to take game

Lost around boulder.

Freedom lost and gained.

Overcome by taste.

The smell beckons me.

Soon to become waste.

Body is not free.

My mind is ensnared.

Obsession takes flight

Difficult to stop.

Try with all my might

Weakness comes to top.

Behavior ends me.

Another good write. I have an obsessive mind as well and its only worse when I try not to obsess. I can totally relate to this poem and especially that last line "behavior ends me".
