My Friend

This is a poem about a friend I met at the college. This special friend has inspired me and truly saved my life and this is about a special friend.

When I first met you,

I just Knew.

You were meant to be in my life,

and help me heal from the pain in my heart that felt like a knife.

I am thankful you are my mentor,

and a protector, 

you are also a good supporter.

You are an inspiration, 

and it gives me so much passion,

to succeed and become better,

you make me feel like I matter,

and there is a purpose for me to live,

and then I can begin to forgive. 

Life is so confusing and like a roller coaster,

but you are always there to help me with an answer.

I admire you so much,

and love you a bunch.

You are amazing and I am truly blessed,

and have been slowly taken out of my mess.

You are an angel sent down from above,

and you share so much of your love.

You are special to me and I don't want to lose you

because then I would fall apart and turn blue.

I want you to be in my life forever,

because you are so clever.

I don't know how to thank you for all you have done,

but I know there is more to come.

I love you and you are my dream come true.

you filled a hole in my heart,

and I can put away my shopping cart

because of you I won 

and you made me feel like the lucky one.

Beautiful. I really like how the tangled rhyming scheme made it obvious that you were pouring out your true feelings about this friend. The long lines also helped with that. You cover almost every aspect of a friend and the way a true friend is supposed to make you feel in this wonderfully written poem.

Thank you for the comment. This is my first time ever writing poems and posting them. I got inspired by my friend and I want others to use my poems too they are to help others express their feelings too. I write about anything. It all comes from my heart and I either been through it or going through it or know someone going through it when i write about an issue. I will be posting more poems.
