A Poem by Kelsey Rogers
"

little poem that inspired the main character in my novel x

"
the voices in my head are yelling louder than they ever have before
my eyes and body are screaming
to be touched, kissed, wanted, loved,
but is that really what I'm face to face with?
or is it simply the devil himself who is
simply interested in the curves that make up my being
and the pure dominance that comes in tow.

I have no time to second guess
as he crashes into me in ways I never knew.
knew I needed out suddenly
from the world I put myself through.
knew all at once and as we intertwine I realize
how I'm shouting into oblivion,
only to be resolved with more
beautiful distractions.
courtesy of curly hair
and hazel eyes
and the perfect crooked smile
