Your Angel

Your Angel

A Poem by Kendra Stewart
"

There are people looking out for you in the physical world and in the spiritual world. You are not alone and you can get better.

"

Dear You...

I am your angel

I went through the things

That you are going through, I’m here for you

My monsters haunted me.

Somehow, they clawed their way through

the chemical blankets I’d carefully swaddled my mind with.

My monsters terrified me.

Somehow, they darkly comforted me

as they took refuge in the marrow of my fragile soul..

My monsters deafened me.

Somehow, they plugged every crack so that the

strangely rare flowers i got were instantly repelled, recoiling and withering.

My monsters loved me.

Somehow, they made me adjust to their wants…

I found it easier to give them that, than let them push me down after I’d stood up.

But my angels....

They were once like me..

They said scars become the strongest part of your skin

It’s the same in your mind.

They said the scabs my monsters made bleed.. eventually wouldn’t run.

It’s the same for your tears.

They said that if I looked inside, I’d awake from that hell.

It’s the same for you.

 You can do it!

Now go make the monster’s grip be loosened
