My Last Breath

on the spot

atrocities

among calamity

against catastrophes

what have i done

but graze a single human

stripped him of his hide

with my

bare

teeth?

demons

abound this city

my game of thrones

but this time

no one escapes

everyone is

predator

and yet

at the same time

prey

feast on

the abundance

of human skin

feel

their

screaming drowning

out our own

in satisfaction

for

its been a long while

since

i've had my fill

beady eyes

quick paced hearts

and their hands

tied behind

their backs

like chickens

in a slaughterhouse

the hell hole for animals

roles reversed

now

the prey

get their revenge

how many tears

have i

had to cry

for this to take place

for my friends

to finally get

what

they

deserve?

is it hard

for you

my dear

human friends

to reach in the inner sides of your emotions

to feel the pain

that which these poor beings have to go through

to get even a morsel

inside of you

my last breath

i swear to you

will be with them

the

ones

who hail true

pure hearts

and innocence abound

with natures toy

and a flower

crown

Well well. Very strong and intense poem, dear poet.
The imagery is so vivid and touching I got goosebumps, at one point.
You touched a very unconventional but much-needed-to-talk-about subject, with integrity and candour.
Your idea resonated with mine. I was myself a non vegetarian once for as long as two decades but everything changed the moment I realised the graveness of the act. I turned into a pure vegetarian then.
Your piece also stands out for the long forgotten moral lesson it delivers.
And if this was a then & there written poem, then you are very talented.
