head of the table - Khat

head of the table - Khat

A Poem by FaeryQueen

I forgot my heart again, silly me!

~

I played with mothers toys last night and conjured a big parade!

But the only parts missing were their hearts and souls, and so, it appeared I made bodies that floated, submerged were they in their chaotic charades.

~

Their eyes are two gorges of milky blue saucers that never move.

If you ask of them something, who knows what they’ll do, I don’t, I’ve never asked of anything from anyone, and so all my life, I’ve known them to be genuine human beings, and since there was nobody around to tell me otherwise, I was none the wiser.

We were none the wiser.

~

It happened when we were sitting at a dinner, I noticed the first of the oddities: blank stares across the table, I asked them what was wrong, no reply.

What surprise!

.

How dare they fill my young head with all their lies, they should be punished for all their crimes, heads will burn, bodies will explode, and for what its worth, I shall not die!
